Greetings beloved,
Today's teaching may be offensive to some people but you needn't be. Truth always pricks the heart especially when you are not walking in the truth but you will be supremely blessed if you drop your ego and accept the truth.
Are you among those who are living their lives everyday trying to do good with the motive that you will make it to heaven and be saved?, Infact, you are so good in your ways (character, relationship with men) that people can't stop talking about you but your whole motive for right living is to escape hell and be applauded by men While still on earth?
In the same manner, are you among those who due to the bad things they have done and are still doing (because you have tried to stop but it's not working) have condemned themselves saying their is no hope for them? They are certain that they will end up in hell? Do you believe you are too evil to be accepted by God?
Now, read this truth; according to God's standard of election, both cases are not a factor to your being accepted or rejected by Him. God's standard is His "GRACE"( Unmerited Favor). God has chosen and called everyone according to His Grace, mercy, purpose and decision and not according to human conduct (good or bad).
Jesus is God's grace, mercy, purpose and decision towards mankind. By implication, we are all chosen and called only in Jesus Christ. Anyone can become the elect or chosen of God by simply putting his trust in Jesus to have taken away all his sins; past, present and future once and for all. This is the only criteria everyone must fufil to be made right with God and be saved.
Am I saying that right living is not good or that doing evil is acceptable? No!! All am saying is that none of them is a criteria for being saved. It's only faith in the finished work of Christ that saves you. The resurrected Jesus is always eager to receive anyone who will believe in what he has done and confess him as Lord. You can be one only by believing. LOVE YOU DEEPLY. SEE YOU SOON!!
