WHY THE LAW WAS GIVEN!

for no one is put right in God's sight by doing what the law requires. What the law does is to make people know they have sinned. Rom 3:20

Greetings beloved!
One of the reasons why people have not yet received their salvation is in the fact that they are trying to gain it by obeying the law. There are 613 articles of the law together with the 10 commandments for any who would want to be saved by deeds of the law. The striking thing about the law is that you must keep all of it to the latter without fail.
Do you really know why the law was given? Paul noted that the commandments was given so we could realize we are sinners. This is the only reason for the giving of the law. But many not knowing it's purpose keep working so hard to keep them only to end up frustrated. All your life, you have been trying to be good by obeying the commandments so that you won't go to hell. But the bitter truth is that no matter how hard you try, you will never be able to keep all of it.
The more you try to keep the law, the more you fail and the more you realize how sinful you are. This is what the law sets out to achieve for us. The law does not have the capacity to save you even an inch rather it's there to do the job of pointing out your sins so that you will know that you are a sinner so you will seek for God's mercy. It is so that you will seek for the saviour.
 Quit that fruitless efforts of trying to gain God's acceptance by keeping the law for no man will ever gain God's acceptance by doing what the law says. The moment you understand why the law was given, then, the law has accomplished it's job in your life.
