DEEPLY DEVOTED TO GOD YET WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE

Rom 10:1-4
 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Till today, Isrealites are yet to put their Faith in Jesus CHRIST  as their saviour. They still hold on to the offerings and sacrifices of animals, observing special days and months as stated in the  law of moses and working so hard to keep the commandments. To them,  that's the way to being holy before GOD and accepted by him . In the above verse, Paul the apostle who also is an Israelite testifies about Isreal  saying that they are deeply devoted to God but the problem is that their zeal and devotion is not according to true knowledge of God and his righteousness hence, his desire and prayer for his brothers to be saved by coming to that true knowledge of God even as he has attained.
I must say,  Isreal  is not the only nation caught up in this ignorance, other nations of the world are involved too. What about you? You might be so zealous and deeply devoted in your religious life yet not according to true knowledge. If Your good deeds and effort to be holy are aimed towards being saved and accepted by God, as good as this is, i want you to know that you are on the wrong path. You are never going to find salvation that way for you are only establishing your own righteousness thereby not submitting yourself to God's righteousness.
     Rom 10:4 teaches us God's righteousness which is true knowledge--"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes." The law itself with it's code of conduct teaches righteousness and the law at its end teaches Christ and Faith as true righteousness. Therefore, whatever sinner that puts Faith in Jesus has come to the end of the law and have obtained righteousness. That is by his Faith in CHRIST, God declares him righteous not man. You can only be saved when you come to the accurate knowledge of God's righteousness and putting Faith in it for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes .
No matter how hard you try, you will always sin by breaking either one or all the commandments. Therefore,  lay aside your own righteousness and submit to God's righteousness which saves you. All your Sins of yesterday, today and tomorrow were placed on Jesus. He carried them all on his  body. He received the very judgment of death for your sins that were on him. He never died for nothing. But God raised him from death for your freedom from sin, it's guilt and condemnation. Because of CHRIST , all your Sins Are Forgiven if you believe. CHRIST is the very righteousness you are zealously working so hard to gain via keeping the commandments. Believe Christ and be saved afterwards, every other good deed and zeal you show towards God becomes important and accepted of him. Love you deeply!
